MY STORY

Hi loves! My name is Kayla and I'm the CEO of D'Vine Jewelry. I run this business full time as a one-woman show! I started D'Vine Jewelry back in 2021 when I was just 17 years old, and I believe it was my D'Vine calling to do so.
After a year of working for $7.50 an hour, I prayed for months for a higher paying job. Then I had a surreal dream encounter that showed me the answers to my prayers was my lifelong gift of creativity. I brought my dreams to life with my first jewelry collection, launched on Etsy, in August of 2021.
With my unique jewelry pieces, I aim to compliment and enhance my customers' D'Vine energy. Each collection is tediously crafted using genuine stones to attract love, luck, prosperity and to protect your energy.

MY INSPIRATION

The biggest motivation for my pieces has always been the world around me, however as an Afro-Indigenous woman I also pull a lot of cultural inspiration as well!

WHAT DOES BEING AFRO-INDIGENOUS MEAN?

Certain Native American tribes have historically had close relationships with African Americans; through this bond both cultures adapted languages, beliefs, and much more from one another. This has brought about a beautiful community of the blended cultures; Afro-Indigenous people.

In the creation process of many of my jewelry pieces I pull inspiration from both of my cultural identities; such as incorporating certain jewelry styles, or specific stones and colors for symbolism.

"I like to think I'm a natural born creative and entrepreneur. From rainbow loom jewelry to Duck Tape wallets and bags I have used my creativity in inspiring ways since I was a little girl. Supporting my business means supporting her dreams!"
